My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Medium amber
Nose: Sweet raisins, vanilla fudge, toasted hazelnuts, polished wood, cinnamon and allspice, gentle wood smoke emerges after a while.
Palate: Only faint fruit notes, mild spices and nuts dominate, there is also a mild caramelly sweetness and a hint of smoke. Everything is well integrated, the flavours refuse to be dissected.
Finish: Medium long, slightly sweet and slightly spicy
Overall: This is a high quality blend that needs time to fully appreciate. Sadly the mouthfeel is a bit thin and the finish a bit shorter than hoped for.
